Obituary Highlights:

James Lee Ferris 49, of Lewisville, Texas passed away on January 30, 2014. He was born in Ithaca, New York on April 5, 1964 to parents Thomas C. Ferris and Cecelia A. Buckley. Mr. Ferris graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1982. He joined the United States Navy where he spent three years active duty. In 1991 he graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas and then went on to receive an honorable discharge from the United States Navy reserve on January 12, 1994.

Details Of Part 1:

Riders will stage at the information center at DFW National Cemetery at 13:30. After the briefing at 13:45, honor bikes will be assigned. Riders will proceed to Shelter B, set the flags, and stand tall and silent in honor of Petty Officer Ferris and his family. After the service, flags will be returned to the storage locker. Following the debriefing, riders will be dismissed.

- Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for this patriot and their family. NO TALKING, SMOKING, CHEWING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS, OR CELL PHONE USE IN THE FLAG LINE!

- Riders NOT UTILIZING HANDICAPPED PARKING are requested to park as far forward as possible at the Visitor's Center to keep the closest spaces available for other guests.

- Let's always remember to keep the motorcycle and voice noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving the shelters.
